So, what's your angle?
I'm an atheist. I believe religion is evil.
I don't have a problem with religion per se, but I don't support stone-age morality. I support gay rights, divorce, and contraception.
Whatever you want to believe is fine, but just because it works for you doesn't make it true for everyone else. Christianity is just one of many paths.
I'm a protestant who doesn't need a Church to tell me what to do. I go straight to Jesus.

Why accept orthodox Christian morality?
The Catholic Church does not hate gays. It simply has a much more inspiring view on the family and sexuality - one which does not simply reduce our human sexuality to lust.

Most protestants have a myriad of reasons why the Catholic Church is wrong. They think they can prove it from scripture, but this just isn't the case. This is changing now as Evangelicals and Catholics have been working together more to really to the heart of our differences while professing what we share. Ultimately the real issue is Church Authority and thus Sacramentology. So, my assertion to get you moving is to state that the Eucharist is truly Jesus body, blood, soul, and divinity. If you want the most personal relationship possible with Jesus, you need to get on your knees before our Lord. God didn't just give this gift to any old layman. He gave it to the one Church which He created here on earth. That Church was created by Jesus when he appointed Peter the first pope.
