Fallacies and Fashions is participating in Fallible Blogma's support a Catholic Speaker Month. As part of that initiative, F&F is promoting Joseph Bottum. Joseph Bottum is the editor-in-chief of First Things magazine. Follow this link to find a plethora of articles he has written in First Things. I am a subscriber to First Things, but I'll admit that I haven't made it through any of the recent editions.
From Wikipedia:
First Things is a monthly ecumenical journal founded by Roman CatholictheologianRichard John Neuhaus, which is focused on creating a "religiously informed public philosophy for the ordering of society. After founding First Things he served as its editor-in-chief and frequently contributed to it. He started the journal after his connection with the Rockford Institute was severed.
Joseph Bottum is also the Books & Arts editor of The Weekly Standard . Here is his bio listed there:
Joseph Bottum is Books & Arts editor of The Weekly Standard. A native of South Dakota, he is a graduate of Georgetown University, with a Ph.D. in philosophy from Boston College. His essays, reviews, and poetry have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the Atlantic Monthly, Nineteenth-Century Literature, First Things, Commentary, National Review, Philosophy & Literature, and elsewhere. In addition to duties at The Weekly Standard, he is poetry editor of First Things, and host of Book Talk, a nationally syndicated radio program.
I haven't been able to locate an exact contact for him, but if you're interested in having Joseph Bottum speak at an event, I'm sure you could start by emailing First Things (ft@firstthings.com).
